Elementary Remote Learning & Hybrid Learning Guide

Suggested Daily Routine

Students will help set their own schedule and that may be directed by any video calls scheduled.

Early Morning
  • Prepare for the day (make the bed, get dressed, and brush teeth).
  • Make breakfast and clean up.
Mid-Morning Consult the schedule, which should be driven by the child’s choice but should include: activities for work supporting the family and for academic learning. Parents should be mindful and allow children continuous periods of concentration without parental interruption. The length of concentration should be guided by the child.
Snack and Lunch
  • Prepare (set up, clean up) snack and lunch.
  • Enjoy outside time.
  • Quiet time, depending on the age and development of the child. As little screen time as possible.
Afternoon Afternoon work time. Include time for care of the environment and preparation for the next day’s work.
Preparations for the next day and chores can be performed throughout the day. Activities can be modified according to a child's readiness and developmental needs.
