Alums

At Montessori School of Durham, the child is in the process of becoming: a moral being who is responsible and accountable for their actions; a confident, competent learner; academically prepared; independent; intrinsically motivated and autonomous; critical and creative thinker and problem solver; socially responsible; compassionate; peacemaker; protector of the environment and its resources; respecter of all living beings; and a productive, caring community citizen. The parent, teacher, and child work collaboratively to foster the development of the child.

Where are Montessori School of Durham alums now? We enjoy regular visits from MSD alums who are eager to share about their endeavors, both professionally and personally. They express gratitude for the way their Montessori education fostered their innate gifts and allowed them to follow their passions. Alums are excited to see the new campus and reunite with their teachers. Whether an award-winning cinematographer, an opera singer, a financial advisor, or a MSD teacher, our alums share a strong academic foundation, a passion for a diverse and inclusive world, and a curiosity for life-long learning. Keep in touch! We love hearing from you!
