About Me

I am thankful to be a part of the MSD Community! I've worked with young children through arts enrichment programming with the North Carolina Partnership for Children as well as directing Music Together Programs in Wilmington and Cary, NC. I first became interested in the Montessori philosophy when my oldest daughter attended a Montessori Children’s House in Wilmington, NC. I loved the gifts of beauty, simplicity, peacefulness and freedom the Montessori environment offered and wanted to be a part of it. I served as an assistant at the school for three years before moving with my family to Cary in 2012.

I received my Montessori Teacher Certification from The Center for Montessori Training and Education NC in 2013 and have been a Montessori lead teacher for three years in Cary before joining the Early Childhood Program at MSD in 2016. I am currently pursuing dual licensure in Elementary and Special Education at Peace University in Raleigh, NC. I live in Cary with my husband Jeff and my two children Lucy and Levi where I enjoy gardening, painting and spending time with friends and family.
