About Me

I was warmly welcomed into the MSD community in the spring of 2014 as a substitute teacher. Since the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year, I have been a part of the administrative team. I am originally from Chantilly, VA in the suburbs of DC. After graduating from Appalachian State University with a BS in Communication & Journalism in 2011, I returned to Virginia to work in children’s ministry at Centreville United Methodist Church. I then moved to NC to marry my husband, Scott, and live close to my sister.  I find so much delight in experiencing the peaceful Montessori classrooms and observing the joy the children find in their daily work. I would love to re-do my childhood and be a Montessori kid! In my spare time, I enjoy running, swimming, eating, reading and being the roadie for my husband's drumming gigs.
