Closed on Monday, September 17th

Thanks for your patience this morning as the worst weather hit right as staff were arriving to school. We unfortunately will have to stay closed through Monday as we continue to have tornado warnings, flash flood warnings, and trees falling due to saturated grounds. The Durham County Police Department issued a message to stay off the roads as several cars have gotten stuck in high waters. On campus, we are working to stop water from entering buildings so that we can open on time tomorrow. The Parent-Education night scheduled for tonight will also be canceled. We will reschedule that event and will be in touch to register for childcare.

Montessori School of Durham

We are excited to announce that we have changed our school name to Montessori School of Durham. The school has been educating students since 1977 and has become much more than a "Children's House" (which describes a program for children 3-6 years old) since 1982 when the school's Elementary program began. In 2007, the school’s Toddler program began. Montessori School of Durham ignites passion and curiosity for lifelong learning in students 18 months through 6th grade.
