School Update re COVID: June 12, 2020

Dear Families,

I hope this finds all of you safe and well and that your summer is off to a great start.

We had high hopes of offering a portion of our summer programs in the months of July and August, but as a result of the Summer Program survey and other considerations, the decision has been made that these programs will not be offered.

As I communicated in my May 15th email to families, I will share with you more information, the schedule, and scenarios for the 2020-21 school year in the last week of June.  Over the next 3 weeks, the Administrative Staff will continue working hard to finalize all safety measures and protocols that will be in place when we return to campus, as well as contingent plans and calendar scenarios.

While we realize that waiting for this information is difficult, please understand that the guidelines relative to COVID-19 that we are receiving from multiple sources on multiple aspects of independent school operations are changing weekly and sometimes even daily.  We are working to make the best plans and decisions for our community and hope that guidance from the State and these school management groups will become more solidified by the end of June in order to minimize any changes that may become necessary.

Other information that I can share with you at this time is that our Board of Trustees approved a COVID-19 Financial Aid fund for our families who may have suffered a job or income loss as a result of COVID-19.  To be considered for additional financial aid or for financial aid if you didn't previously apply or didn't previously qualify, please read the attached document from TADS for more information and instructions.  If you have questions relative to the application process, please contact TADS at 888-210-4857 or 1-800-884-8237 rather than our office.  The additional financial aid funds will be used strictly for COVID-19 related income loss and the aid awarded will be prioritized by the greatest need and only those applications rated as "good" by TADS will be considered. This indicates that TADS received all requested information from the family.

Other financial relief being offered to families whose income has changed as a result of COVID-19 is the option to change to your original payment plan chosen at the time you signed your 2020-21 Tuition Agreement.  

  • Those who opted to pay annually may spread your payments to bi-annually or over 10 or 12 months.
  • Those who opted to pay bi-annually may spread your payments over 10 or 12 months.
  • Those families who opted to pay over 10 months may spread payments over 12 months. 
  • If you would like to change your payment options, please first review your copy of your Tuition Agreement if you're not sure which plan you chose, and then send your request for change to
